I’m pretty sure I have an obsession with Target…but lately I’ve been putting it to very good use (I think). If you haven’t visited dollar spot/bullseye playground at Target during the back to school season, you’re seriously missing out. Also check on the Target website and search “bullseye playground”, a lot of things I cannot get in store are online. I have found a plethora of homeschool supplies over the past 2 years, preparing for this coming school year into Kindergarten. They’ve had everything from pocket calendars to dry erase practice math boards and activity mats for numbers, colors, shapes and animals.
Since we haven’t officially started Kindergarten yet, I keep things really relaxed for Henry. On a trip to Michaels recently I purchased one of their adorable 3-tier rolling carts by Recollections. Definitely one of the best purchases I have made and it holds a ton for Henry. So far, I keep a caddy of coloring supplies, flashcards, stamps, paint brushes, stickers and some Paper Pumpkin boxes from Stampin’ Up stored on the cart. Anything he is interested in doing I help set up, but having the supplies accessible allows him to get creative.

The cart is full at the moment, but everything is easy to see. The flashcards I find at Target are by far one of my favorite things, since there is just about every subject you can think of and they are $1 usually. I’ll include some pictures below of the different ones I have found.
Starting with the top left picture, links are below for what I am still able to find on Target.
Puzzle Pairs Colors and Shapes
Puzzle Pairs Alphabet Connect
Puzzle Pairs Count and Match
Puzzle Pairs Complete The Word
Puzzle Pairs Spanish
The top right are all new flashcards being carried currently, the regular sized flashcards are $1 and the jumbo packs are $3. Out of the $1 packs I could only find the Spanish ones from what I purchased, but I would recommend checking your local Target for the others. For the jumbo packs, Target has a bundle online that includes all of the jumbo packs, activity mat and stick puppets. Absolutely love the activity mat booklet, they have others in store and I bought all of them.
Spanish Flash Cards
Early Learning & Activity Kits
The bottom picture is flashcards I accumulated over the past year, some were found in store and others I happened to find online on Target.
Same Or Different Flashcards
Animals Flashcards
Shapes and Colors Flashcards
Numbers Flashcards
Addition Flashcards
Phonics Flashcards
Spanish Flashcards
Subtraction Flashcards
The only negative thing about purchasing online is that they tend to come in bundles of 6 or 8 of the same, so I do have duplicates that I’m hoping to give away or keep as backups in case Henry bends a couple. Either way I would definitely recommend checking weekly online and as often as you can in store. I live almost an hour from the nearest Target, so don’t always get there as often as I’d like.
Stay tuned for more posts about our school supplies we’ll be using for the coming year if you are interested. Would also love to hear of what curriculum and supplies other parents use for homeschooling! Hope everyone has a great day =).
