Planning and procrastinating are two of my favorite things (haha). I’ve always loved writing my plans down in a planner or notepad, but when it comes time to actually do them….I procrastinate!
It should come as no surprise that I purchased a teacher planner for homeschooling this year. As of this Monday (June 3rd), we started our first day of homeschooling.
I decided to start early for a few reasons:
- It encourages us to learn and celebrate every event that happens throughout the year.
- Allows us to take more breaks throughout the year.
- We also homeschool less days in the week.
For South Carolina homeschoolers, we aren’t told how many hours a day to homeschool or when to start, you just have to have 180 days in your school year.
I’ve been soooo looking forward to purchasing a teacher planner ever since I decided to homeschool and had 100% planned to go with Erin Condren. Unfortunately, Erin Condren launched a little later than I would have liked this year, so I had to look elsewhere in order to start my planning for June. Thanks to the lovely ladies that posted recommendations on a Facebook ad for Erin Condren (have to love those ads lol), I noticed so many recommending Plum Paper.
Plum Paper’s website and planners just got a refresh as well, so I would highly recommend anyone looking for a planner (teacher or otherwise) to just look around on the website. The customization options are absolutely amazing. I went with the Teacher 2: Homeschool planner. The Teacher 3 planner is very similar, except for missing weekends. I find it so awkward to have a planner that is missing days, so I need those weekends!
Then the fun comes in…customizing! I purchased the largest planner, 8.5″ x 11″, while it is large I love having the room to plan. I went with the extra $4 to customize the layout, since I didn’t want the words under the month (where it says My Classes and names different subjects).

Similar to Erin Condren, Plum Paper also offers a discount on accessories when you order 3 or more. When I placed an order for my first planner, I ordered the love note paper clips, snap-in bookmark, and teacher stickers. I’ll definitely go back for more accessories later, but if you love planning as much as I do…do yourself a favor and purchase the sticker subscription!
I purchased the sticker subscription in May, so I received the June stickers and they are adorable. Sad to admit, but they do motivate me to get creative in my planning and inspire me. Wouldn’t have known June 8th was National Best Friend Day, which I have a super fun project planned for Henry.
Plum Paper’s sticker subscription is $10 a month, free shipping. Each month contains 1 celebratory, 1 decorative, 2 reminder sheets and 1 monthly sheet. I definitely have not used all of the stickers for the month and I am pretty much finished planning, so I gave the rest to Henry to make cards with.
